Eikando Temple Koi Pond Poster

Eikando is famous for Kyoto maple colour, but this design is no painted garden scene — it is a bold contemporary graphic: three green-and-white koi crossing a sweeping burnt-orange field, with the temple's name set large in green kanji and its Sakyo Ward address lettered small at the top. The flat shapes and two-colour confidence make it read from across a room, which suits bedrooms, quiet sitting rooms and hallways that need warmth without fuss. A wood frame underlines the Japanese register; black sharpens it toward modern. Give it daylight if you can — the orange glows — at 12×18 or larger, and pair with the Kiyosumi print for contrast.
