How big is it, really?

Every size against a 7 ft wall and a 5′6″ figure. If you are between sizes, the larger one is rarely the regret.

Curator’s note

A crawfish the size of a lobster dominates the page in flat boil-red, one claw raised, flanked by a black cooking pot and a cobalt-blue profile borrowed from a Matisse cut-out. The text puts it at the Jackson Civic Center in Montgomery on June 14 — a Gulf-South boil rendered as modernist collage, antennae and all. The humour is in the scale: this is not dinner, it is a mascot. Wood is the right frame — its warmth sits between the red crustacean and the cream ground without competing. Choose 12×18 in for a kitchen or dining wall, and pair it with another food-festival print at the same size for a menu-like row above a sideboard.
